The Japanese cosmetic manufacturer giant Shiseido, has launched their brand new make up simulator kiosk at the Science of Beauty Make Up exhibition at the Science Museum, Japan which enables customers to try on as many colour combinations of their products with a few light touches on the screen.
This is basically what the future would look like:
No longer would we have to guess if the colour would look good on us or having to "test" it out on our hands or feeling lazy and purchasing something and possibly regretting buying it later on when we're home. All we have to do is walk up to a screen, and voila! The entire product line right at your finger tips to try on in as many combinations as possible without ever having to get your hands dirty.
Am unsure if this is just a prototype kiosk because there seem to be far too few colours to choose from unless that selection was for say, a particular pallete for that particular season. Not sure, but what I do know is that I will spend a long time on the kiosk myself if I ever get the chance to do so. Absolute coolness.
P.S. : One thing I like about this kiosk is how accurately the program is able to calculate and locate the four key areas, eyebrows, eyes, cheekbones and lips and how smoothly everything gels onto the girl's virtual face without any (seemingly) lag or glitches.
